Khao Sok Lake stretches over an area of 165 km 2 within the 739 km 2 park. The water is a beautiful emerald color, which further adds to the vibrant greens of the rainforest. The lake is vast, and is dotted with over one hundred limestone karsts which jut up from the still water, remnants of what were once mountain peaks.

Just like getting to Khao Sok Village from the nearby towns, the same bus/minivans can be used to get to Ban Ta Khun village to the east. Khao Sok National Park lake or Cheow Lan lake or Cheow Larn lake is actually not directly at the village you will most probably be dropped off at if you travel to Khao Sok National Park (see map). You can either get your own transport to travel along route 401 or book one of the organized tours.
